Empathy.co announces the appointment of Jonathan Newman as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective 1 December 2021.

Empathy.co has achieved rapid growth in recent years and this appointment is part of a plan to enable the company’s continued expansion and success. As COO, Newman will oversee all aspects of business operations working to scale and elevate internal capabilities to build a culture of operational excellence. Based out of the UK, he will also strengthen the company’s leadership team helping to shape and direct corporate strategy, business planning, product proposition and preparation for the next major growth phase.

Newman, who has been acting as an advisor for Empathy.co since early 2019, brings more than 20 years of experience from global ecommerce brands such as Office Depot and Ingram Micro. He has successfully built and scaled high-performing digital teams, led large digital transformation projects and managed big international ecommerce businesses. Newman has extensive global experience.

Newman will replace German Heredia as Chief Operating Officer. Heredia will become the company’s new Chief Customer Officer, a role dedicated to helping customers fully maximise the benefits they receive from Empathy Platform.
